Flowers are a natural dietary item for many tortoise species and a great source of fiber, vitamins, and minerals. Zoo Med’s Tortoise Flower Food Toppers are a medley of five flower varietals that will enrich your tortoise’s senses with new colors, smells, and flavors.  They are also an excellent way to add fiber to your tortoise’s diet to help promote a healthy gut. This blend is ideal for all tortoise and box turtle species, but it can also be fed to other flower-eating pets (e.g., small mammals and invertebrates). For lizards, many species prefer our Lizard Flower Food Toppers blend.

These flowers can be used as a stand-alone treat, food topper, mix-in, or as a foraging item spread throughout the enclosure. Offer as an occasional treat or incorporate it into your tortoise’s routine diet. They can be fed dry or lightly misted with water. Always have clean drinking water available. Observe juveniles to ensure flower pieces are appropriately sized and easily eaten. Store in a cool, dry place. NOT FOR HUMAN CONSUMPTION.
